Update: Richard contacted us after seeing the reviews. We were able to resolve almost all of the issues. The only one pending are for the free trips promised to us.

They lied to us, promising airline tickets, a free trip to Hawaii or Vegas, dinner for two and a show. Points towards 2022, no maintenance fee, because we signed in November 2021.

January 2022, bills started rolling in for maintenance fees due in 21 AND 22, we were only supposed to pay for 2022. Now, when trying to resolve, were insulted and threatened to be reported to the credit bureau. No management is ever available, no promises fulfilled by the company. The company claims we owe the 567.00 for 2021 maintenance fees.

We've continued to pay the monthly 140.00, and we paid for this years maintenance fees. We have been locked out of everything and no one will resolve this issue.

We went to Starpoint Resort just at a year ago and walked out thinking we had purchased a Time share for right under $3,000 with a upfront payment of $400 with the rest as payments over 24 months. (A great deal) but left with a gnawing in the back of our heads that something was not right, we let it go and felt good knowing that after paying off the $3,000 we would have opportunities for discounted vacations. After spending most of the day at the resort being herded to multiple rooms/people we just wanted to get back to our Las Vegas vacation! Once we returned home and the monthly payments started, we did not watch closely and just recently realized that we were getting two charges a month. After finally investigating and going though our contract “very carefully” I realized what we had actually signed up for! No problem with the $3,000 for our Vacation Ownership, we were very aware of these charges. BUT after really reading the contract, there was $276 in MONTLY dues that were skimmed over in the slick presentation. We have not paid over $5,000 in membership fees! We are trying to save for a home and if we had realized this was a charge in perpetuity, we WOULD NOT have signed anything. Below are the charges we have incurred in just a year with NO vacations, all the offers of free new member trips have not been available and the 5,000 points they gave us is not useable, because any resort requires a minimum of 14500 points.. How do you get these points?? YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM. SAPPHIRE RESORT PURCHASE. Cash Price$2,995.00 Finance Charge $24.46%$712.17 Loan Filing Fee $7.00 (mthly)$161 TOTAL COST: $3,868.17 Down Pmt $400.00 Mthly Payments (18 mo) $130.80 =$2,354 Dues Paid 18months $276.80 (18 mo) (annual membership fee)$4,982.40 Grey Card Min 2years membership $69 year$69.00GetAways Resort Mgt We are retiring in a year and will be on a fixed budget and an almost $300 monthly charge is not an option! Please make sure you READ everything and check ALL NUMBERS! I was so looking forward to some vacations in our retirement, but now I will have to fight to get out of this USELESS monthly charge. A dissatisfied, disheartened disappointed customer!

Good Service

I purchased a vacation program from the Destin Florida location on Oct. 18th. Paid for it in full on visa. The next day I changed my mind and went back to the Manger how had run the presentation and sold my wife and I the program. He was very accommodating and pleasant and called Las Vegas to have them refund me my money. While it took a few days he continued to stay in touch with me during the process and called to check if my visa had been credited on two different occasions. My funds were refunded as promised and i want to thank Kenny Hood the mgr. for his close attention in this matter.

Bought a vacation program and then changed my mind. Kenny Hood the manger followed up to make sure i was credited back on my visa for the purchase. He followed with me twice and stayed in touch until Starpoint refunded the money.

Lies, deceit and not allowing us to sell

As an active service member of the Navy, I am extremely disappointed with how my wife and I have been treated by Star Point. First off, they claimed that they are sponsored by USAA. We are members of USAA and completely trust them. Star Point took advantage of this and even told me that I would receive a discount at the Resort for being a USAA member. It wasn't until after we signed the paperwork were we made aware of this blatant lie. We were told timeshare ownership was a great investment and that since we "owned" a part of the Jockey Club we could claim in on our tax return. Once filing our taxes and expecting a 1098 form to claim our interest was I made aware that we did not own anything. We bought a membership and owned points. Lie #2. We were careful to retain all of our paperwork given to us after the sales transaction. After returning home and reviewing the paperwork we noticed pages were missing and some of the forms had handwritten notes on them that had not been included in the paperwork given to us. We also noticed the form "Receipt of Nevada Public Offering" has our names and address misspelled. This is remarkable as it is required to be signed by us in front of a public notary and yet these documents are clearly fraudulent. This company has scammed us out of $20,000. They lie straight to your face and don't care whatsoever. All they care about is money. They ignore you until you stop paying and then they report you to the credit bureau. Why is no one investigating this company? We have been duped by this company and suggest everyone to STAY AWAY from Star Point, Sapphire, Geo Holiday unless you are okay with just handing your money over and getting NOTHING in return.

You don't get "free" vacations. You don't get $300.00 cash. You don't get "free" airline tickets. You don't get to use RCI without paying the $199.00 fee. You do get increased maintenance fees. You do get ignored when trying to reach someone. And the worst part is you don't get to take vacations at a minimal cost as described during the sales presentation. Do not buy a Timeshare from this company. You will be sorry!

I am an owner at Highlands at Verde ridge. I have been trying to reach somebody at this resort for 2 weeks(this time and many times in the past) The only person you can get is the front desk and then they put you through to a voicemail, same voicemail whoever you ask for and they NEVER RETURN calls. In ten years I have NEVER been able to use my floating week at this resort all you get is the Pine Ridge(MUCH OLDER) DO NOT BUY at this resort they are terrible. There does not appear to be any way to leave a complaint.

my wife and I went for the original presentation in june of 2018 and went thru 5 different people and many hours before we relented.and then went back for what was suppose to be a orientation on how to use our time share to our advantage ,when they told us we bought nothing of value the first time and they were going to make it right,they sure did more money and more time and nothing but headaches, I want out!!!!!who do I contact ,who else do I have to pay???
